Articles for Entrepreneurs Maximizing Performance Stay fit – mentally, emotionally, physically and spirituality. Go into training and focus on all four of these areas. Don’t neglect even one of them! You’re going to need all aspects to be a winner so make a plan and have the integrity to work your plan! Give up resentments. How often have you thought, "I have a right to be angry, hurt, depressed or resentful because of the way I've been treated (the way the economy is going – the way that employee left the company, etc., etc.?" When you're filled with resentment, you turn over control of your emotional life to others. If someone annoys you, depersonalize the insult instead of becoming resentful. If you learn to do this, you'll have no need to retaliate or prove someone else wrong. You can respond with kindness. Do this for yourself because resentments can destroy you. A Chinese proverb says, "If you're going to pursue revenge, you'd better dig two graves." © 2009 Sharon A. Youngblood. All rights reserved.
