Do You Have To Have A Promotional
Package? Yes! A lot of entrepreneurs believe that in this day of being able to put all of your promotional material on a website that brochures and other promotional materials are out of date. However, I believe you need to have something to put in your prospect's hand as well as something they can file to get back to you. I don't think it has to be a full color brochure. And please don't let it be a three fold - that marks you as an amateur! My favorite for years has been and continues to be a presentation folder - the type with the pockets on the side and sometimes a place for your card. It is my favorite because it is so flexible and so effective. If you are new in business you can still put together a nice package without spending a fortune - here's how:
The quality of modern color printers - either ink jet or laser means you have a lot of flexibility on printing your one sheets. This is really helpful when you are just starting out. You can add or subtract "one sheets" to fit the audience. Use these presentation folders whenever you speak - hand them out to your audience, whenever you talk with a prospect and when someone requests literature. Your folder will grow as your business does and you can continue to upgrade the presentation folder as finances permit. Do you need a fancy full color brochure? It depends on your marketplace. You may if you meet with executives of large corporations or organizations. However, a good looking presentation folder works just as well and it gives you more flexibility. © 2009 Sharon A.
